IN POST PRODUCTION
@ben.volio is a short film based on the character from Shakespeare’s 425-year-old play, Romeo & Juliet.
A young Black social media influencer, Ben is determined to have a little fun with his friends despite the civil strife of BLM protests and MAGA rallies. His perspective will be intimately experienced through the lens of social media and universally accessible to an audience that is not typically represented in the performance of heightened language.
ON THE HORIZON
DOCUMENTARY - an Industrial for PWIs, which will feature Black and Brown artists opening up about their experiences within predominantly white institutions. The documentary is rooted in providing a safe space for marginalized voices to share their stories without the pressure to do the work of teaching white people.
DO BETTER
SCRIPTED - An empty-nester struggles with change and clings to her routine of visiting the pool she used to take her children to. The repetition of diving alone pushes her to the brink.
